The 54th Grammy Awards

The 54th Grammy Awards, hosted by LL Cool J, was a 3.5-hour marathon of sorrow (the death of Whitney Houston one day prior) and triumph (Adele tying Beyoncé’s 2010 record for six Grammys won by a female artist in a single year). Broadcast live Feb. 12 from Staples Center, seen by 39 million and discussed by millions more on social networks, the evening was astonishing, fresh and poignant — and flawless audio support was more crucial than ever. ATK AudioTek provided DiGiCo consoles at FOH and monitor mix positions this year, part of a massive — and, for the first time, fully-networked — digital sound system.
